VMware’s licensing changed after Broadcom bought the company, and many businesses now face much higher renewal costs. Hyper-V, which comes with Windows Server, and NDCP private cloud are two ways forward.

NDCP private cloud
NDCP from Nerve Digital gives you cloud-style features such as virtual machines on demand, containers and usage dashboards, on servers in your own building. We supply NDCP and run the project. Nerve Digital implements and supports the platform.
Backups you have tested
A backup only counts if it restores. We follow the 3-2-1 rule: three copies of your data, on two kinds of storage, with one copy off site. And we test a restore before handover.

Questions we often get
Hyper-V or VMware?
Hyper-V comes with Windows Server, so for many Windows-based businesses it costs less. VMware has a wider toolset and suits some larger setups. We compare both for your servers before you decide.
How long does a migration take?
Each server moves in a planned window, often overnight. We give you a schedule with the quote, based on how many servers you have and how much downtime each can take.
What happens if a host fails?
In a cluster, the servers on that host restart on another host automatically. Without a cluster, we restore from backup. We design for the downtime you can accept.
Can you support our existing VMware?
Yes. We support, patch and upgrade existing VMware setups while you decide on the long-term plan.
