Network design and configuration

A network that is set up properly is faster, safer and easier to fix. We design and configure LANs, VLANs, switches, routers and SD-WAN for offices, hospitals, schools and multi-site businesses across South Kerala, and leave you with documents your team can use.

  • VLAN
  • PoE
  • SD-WAN

What’s included

  • Network design: core and access switches sized for your points and growth
  • Managed switch setup: VLANs, trunk and access ports, and PoE for cameras, phones and access points
  • Separate networks for staff, guests, CCTV, IP phones and servers
  • Router and internet setup: NAT, static routes and failover between two providers
  • SD-WAN for businesses with several branches
  • Firewall rules agreed with you
  • An IP address plan, VLAN table and port map
  • Configuration backups handed over at the end

How we deliver

  1. Assess We list devices, users, applications and internet lines, and check what is already there.
  2. Design We draw the network, plan VLANs and IP addresses, and size switches and PoE.
  3. Supply We supply switches and routers from the brands you prefer, or configure the ones you have.
  4. Configure Devices are set up and tested before they carry live traffic.
  5. Cut over We switch over in a planned window, usually after hours, with a fallback plan.
  6. Document You get the IP plan, VLAN table, port map and configuration backups.

Why separate networks matter

When CCTV, guest Wi-Fi, IP phones and office computers share one flat network, one infected laptop can reach everything, and a busy camera system slows the office down.

VLANs put each group on its own network, and the firewall decides what can talk to what. It is the simplest security step most businesses skip.

Power for cameras, phones and access points

Cameras, access points and IP phones take their power from the switch over the network cable (PoE). We add up what each device needs and choose switches with enough PoE budget, so devices do not drop out when the switch is busy.

SD-WAN for branches

If you run several branches, clinics or shops, SD-WAN joins them over ordinary internet lines into one managed network. It can use two internet providers at each site and move traffic to the better line when one fails.

What affects the price

Every quote is built from your site. These are the things that change the number.

  • The number of switches, routers and sites
  • How many devices need PoE power
  • Whether we can reuse your existing equipment
  • SD-WAN licences for branches

Brands we use

  • Cisco
  • HPE Aruba
  • Juniper
  • TP-Link
  • D-Link

Questions we often get

Can you work with the switches we already have?

Often, yes. If they are managed switches still supported by the maker, we configure them. If they are end of life, we tell you and suggest replacements.

Will the changeover stop our work?

We plan changes for a quiet window, usually after hours or on a holiday, and keep a fallback ready. Most users notice nothing.

Do we need managed switches?

For anything beyond a very small office, yes. Managed switches let you separate networks, power cameras and phones, and see what is going on when something breaks.

What documents do we get?

An IP address plan, a VLAN table, a port map for each switch and a backup of every configuration. Your IT team or ours can use them later.
